Sources say that Howard already has four children with four different women, although he has remained quite mum on the baby situation, trying instead to focus attention on his NBA basketball career with the LA Lakers.The news that Howard is expecting yet another child surprises some fans, as he has long professed his Christian faith, pledging to "raise the name of God within the league and throughout the world." This leaves some fans wondering whether multiple children from different mothers runs contrary to his professed Christian values.
The 28-year-old LA Lakers basketball star was drafted in 2004 by the Orlando Magic. He was traded to the LA Lakers in 2012 and has been working to carve out a niche for himself amongst several superstars on the team, including Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Howard has admitted the need to get into better shape and has publicly acknowledged attempts to do that.
The LA Lakers are currently in the playoffs. With Kobe Bryant out of the lineup after an Achilles injury and subsequent surgery, they are looking to other players to step up and fill his big shoes.
